How Much Do Cam Girls Make?
One of the most important decisions you can make as a model is deciding which cam site to use as your host. There are a great many out there, and some are more well-known than others, but you don’t necessarily want to simply jump into the biggest (and therefore most saturated with competition) and hope for the best. Each site has its own pay system, and you want to keep a careful eye on that as you decide which to use. We’ll discuss the best options below.
Chaturbate
Chaturbate is probably the preeminent “free cam site” in the world, right now, and they’ve got a ton of traffic. You can often see models there with room counts of over 1,000 viewers, so it’s one of the best cam sites to get huge exposure. Beginner cam models often choose to start camming on Chaturbate due to the ridiculously large levels of traffic, but also because they can keep more than 50% of the revenue they generate. Members can buy tokens for about $100 per 1,000 tokens, which would be worth about $50 if tipped to a model.
How much you can make on the site really depends on how much traffic you can get into your room, but thankfully, it’s not too difficult to build up a large room count, thanks to the large number of viewers and CB’s easy-going policies on acceptable on-camera behavior (Hint: you can attract a LOT of people by doing explicit shows in public chat). You can signup as a Chaturbate model here.

BongaCams
One host that definitely deserves consideration is BongaCams, which holds the distinction of being Europe’s most popular cam site and one of the more highly trafficked such sites in the world. Bonga shares “over 50%” of earnings with the model, has a 5% model referral program, and will pay a 25% new customer commission. They are also a varied forum, accepting models of all genders (including transgender), and even couples. How much a cam girl cam make on BongaCams depends on a lot of factors, but it’s mostly about personality with this crowd of cam viewers. They really seem to appreciate models who can engage with them and chat until the cows come home.
CamSoda
The next cam site we’ll talk about is CamSoda, which is notably flexible in its payment structure. This one allows its models some freedom in setting their own per-minute token rates for private shows. They also run “contests” for models to enter, for chances to win cash prizes. Token share is at least 55% for the model, while CamSoda says that the average is actually 65% of total gross spending on the site. They also claim that when all value is factored in (such as the contests), it’s closer to 85%. Cam girls can make a ton of money on CamSoda if they can breakthrough the early stages of being new and not having a fan following. The problem is, there’s huge competition from big-name pornstars on the site that can too often stifle a beginner cam girl’s chances of getting noticed.
Internet Modeling
First up is Internet Modeling, which is notable for being one of the oldest and most trusted players in the business. They offer models a 70% share of their earned token value, which is definitely a competitive rate and generous for a webcam studio. If you’re so inclined, you can also earn 70% on sales of your videos, used panties, and other items you may offer up. Internet Modeling has over 10,000 visitors per day, and boasts that its best-paid models can earn upwards of $2,000 per week, which is not an outlandish claim – for a successful cam girl. MyFreeCams
Lastly, MyFreeCams has to be mentioned, since it’s a great place for pro camgirls to make a lot of money. This is not a cam site for beginner models, though, since the camscore feature can work to the disadvantage of newbies in a major way. But if you’re female (MFC doesn’t accept any other gender) and you’ve got a large fan following already, you may just want to become a cam model at MyFreeCams and see if you can’t attract some of their notorious big spending members.
At MFC, cam girls make about 50% of token revenue, which means that when a member buys tokens, you’ll get at least 50% of the money he spent on them when he tips you. MyFreeCams has also recently added a new content sales platform named “MFC Share,” which is awesome, because it allows you to sell videos, photo sets, and other content to members for automatic download.
Best Site For New CamGirls: Chaturbate
These are all great cam sites to work on, depending on what stage you’re at in your camming career, but it’s pretty clear that Chaturbate is the best place for new models to start with. A webcam model can make good money there fairly quickly, and the revenue percentages are very competitive with those of other cam sites. Signup now to get started!
