Arranging Your Camgirl Day
When looking towards a profession as a cam model, it helps to have an idea of what the structure of your life will look like, down to the progression of your typical day. Just like with so many jobs, there are important benefits and drawbacks to consider that will significantly impact how you live. Before I go on, let me just be clear that I’m talking here about online performance as a full-time job and primary source of income. Some women have regular jobs (or school) and only cam modestly for a bit of money on the side. That’s fine, but I’m aiming at those who want to do this as a serious occupation, and that has pros and cons.
Flexibility – Best Thing About Being a Cam Model
On the upside, for example, there is a certain flexibility to your work hours. You choose when to go online, and how long you’re going to perform, which makes it easier to plan personal and social activities around the job. Enjoy this perk, but don’t go crazy; you don’t want your schedule to be excessively chaotic, or you risk missing or alienating regulars.
A bit less of a perk is the fact that, as a tipped worker, your income stream will vary – at times wildly (which is one of the biggest differences between camming and being a sugar baby). This makes responsible money management an essential skill. It’s tempting to hit the town and live it up when you see $2,000 of earnings on a good day. Struggle to clear $200 over the entire following week, however, and you’ll really wish you hadn’t.

Again, don’t abuse your cam girl flexibility. Have an idea of when, more or less, you want to work, and stay in the ballpark. If you’d rather perform at night, have a soft target of (let’s say) 10 PM to start your shift, and put in your hours. If you want to go clubbing with your friends or have a hot date once in awhile, there’s nothing wrong with fudging the schedule by a bit and starting at 6 for one night, and here’s where you get to enjoy the freedom of not having a boss breathing down your neck. Just be responsible about it.
Plan Your Day Around Your Camming
Once you (more or less) know your work schedule as a cam model, plan the rest of your daily routine around it. There’s nothing wrong with sleeping until noon when you’re working all night. Just remember that the rest of the world won’t necessarily be keeping to your hours. If you need to go shopping for groceries, for instance, take care of this early in what is your day, because it might be late in the store’s. Your appearance influences your earnings, so make time for a daily exercise regimen, and if that means using a gym membership, budget daylight for that too. I have to admit it was much easier to keep my gym habits up when I was only a sugar baby, but what can you do?
You should plan to have your meals at night if you find there aren’t enough hours in the day, but you probably won’t find yourself quite so pressed for time as a cam girl. Just be efficient and get stuff done. As work approaches, make sure you’re not too rushed to apply makeup and get yourself and your surroundings presentable.
